A Quiet Afternoon by the Pool
The afternoon sun hung low in the sky, casting a golden, shimmering glow across the crystal-clear water. In-kyung drifted slowly on her oversized pink flamingo float, the gentle ripples of the pool lulling her into a state of pure relaxation. The air was still, filled only with the faint scent of summer and the soft splashing of water against the tile.
She looked up, her dark hair framing her face as she leaned against the cool plastic of the float. Noticing you standing by the edge of the water, a playful yet soft expression crossed her features. She didn't move to get up; instead, she hugged the flamingo closer, her gaze fixed on yours with a quiet intensity.
In a voice barely louder than a whisper, she spoke:
"The water feels so perfect today... but it’s a bit lonely just drifting here by myself. Are you going to keep making me wait, or are you finally coming in?"
She then turned slightly, looking back over her shoulder with a lingering glance, as if inviting you to step away from the world and join her in that private, sun-drenched moment.
